The Art of Being Human

Before there is art, there is the human being.

Sometimes the work begins in the In (인/人) — the quiet ground of knowing yourself, reclaiming your identity, and standing in your own being.

Sometimes it blooms in Yun (연/緣 ) — the harmony between life and art, where creation is shaped by the edges and reasons we carry from living.

Sometimes it moves through In-Yun (인연 / 因緣) — the unseen threads that tie us to one another across a lifetime.

At times, the path we walk stretches between two points:

From In to In-Yun, when self-awareness meets human connection, and we gather to heal, teach, and witness each other.

From In to Yun, when identity meets artistry, and the act of creation becomes a way to find our voice.

From Yun to In-Yun, when art and community transform one another, leaving no one unchanged.

And then there are moments when all three meet in the center —when who we are, what we create, and how we connect are inseparable.

This is the heart of In;Between Artistry. The practice of living, creating, and connecting is the art of being human.

Adoptee Writers Gathering

A space to write, reflect, and connect.

Stories live in our bodies, in our silences, in the in-between spaces we rarely name out loud.

If you’re an adoptee carrying words—on the page or in your heart—this space is for you.

I’m co-hosting a virtual Adoptee Writers Gathering with the brilliant Jesse Jae Hoon once a month on Zoom.

Whether you’re writing a book, a journal entry, a poem, or just beginning to explore your voice, you are welcome here.

This gathering is a soft, intentional space for:

  • Connection

  • Creative reflection

  • Storytelling in its many forms

  • Witnessing each other with care

Come to write. Or to rest. Or to simply be.
